Paul C Buff @ Gotham Audio!

We are Gotham AG offering some legitimately obtained and genuine Paul C Buff products for sale!

We obtained these products directly from Paul C. Buff Inc. (Nashville, TN) following their decision in the spring of 2009 to appoint us as their sole export agent. This appointment was the culmination of several months of negotiations between Gotham AG and Paul C. Buff which included personal visits by Gotham CEO Franz Ammann to the Buff facilities in the USA. Following this, Gotham obtained additional warehouse space in Zurich for Paul C. Buff products, added additional staff and launched a comprehensive website dedicated to the international distribution the complete Buff products line.

After considerable and largely unexplainable delays on the part of Paul C. Buff, the first substantial deliveries of *Cybersync* products finally arrived in Switzerland in the summer of 2009. By this time, we had noticed considerable internal dissension within the Buff organization and it appeared that leading staff were actively working at cross-purposes. There was much frustration when it came to implementing Paul Buff's original stated intentions and terms as regards Gotham's access to products and pricing.

What should have been a smooth transition to an efficient chain for international distribution quickly became mired in the intensely personal internal politics of the Buff organization. A paranoid suspicion of Gotham intentions and actions developed, apparently fueled by members of Paul's staff who were determined to alter the terms originally accepted by both parties. Unfortunately, the climate of unwarranted animosity towards Gotham, that some staff promoted, led Paul Buff to jump to conclusions, arbitrarily scrap the distribution agreement and negate all the planning, work and investments that Gotham AG had made in Buff distribution.

Without due cause or proper notice, Mr. Paul C. Buff terminated the relationship with Gotham, leaving a heap of shards and immense damages to Gotham AG. Given this sudden and unexpected turn of events, Gotham naturally stopped investing in Paul C Buff products and did not immediately settle invoices, claiming the first right to offset some of the very substantial costs incurred in setting up the Buff product line for proper sales into the European market. In response to these perfectly legitimate actions, Paul C Buff posted a global warning to their web site, falsely and maliciously implying that Gotham had stolen products and that any client who would buy from Gotham would commit an offence (dealing in stolen property) which would invalidate any future warranty claims and similar product support.
 

Gotham continues to offer and sell PCB stock products around the globe, while supply lasts. Also Gotham will provide service warranty and so forth as long as this supply will last. We have already demonstrated our commitment to supply the best possible units to Buff customers. Right from the start we observed a serious battery power issue with all our CST stocked units, supplied in summer 2009. These contain a near-dead battery (CR2450 3 Volt) apparently the result of a. Paul C Buff decision to install low quality batteries in these units. Many existing Buff clients have reported problems with their units caused by batteries that were either too old or too poorly manufactured. With this in mind, Gotham now supplies all CST units with an additional free CR2450 battery; so as to avoid problems and spare their clients the necessity of asking Paul C. Buff Inc. USA to supply a fresh quality battery, such as should have been included with the product in the first place...

We still have enormous respect for the achievements and products of the Paul C Buff organization and we continue to hope that the founder will put fears and emotions aside and seek an amicable solution with Gotham AG, who, after all, has wasted a full year of efforts on behalf of Paul C. Buff, with little compensation received. We certainly demand a cessation and retraction of statements that have slanderously questioned the integrity of the Gotham organization (Gotham AG and Gotham Audio LLC in the US) We appreciate those who have expressed their support for the fairness of our actions, and we do intend to fight those parties who have schemed to scuttle our perfectly legitimate attempts to build a mutually profitable distribution chain for Paul C. Buff, as per our discussions with Paul Buff in the winter of 2008-2009.
